The lack of gender equality in companies means less opportunity for a great many people, of course, but it also has a substantial impact on financial outcomes. A McKinsey Global Institute study estimates that closing the gender pay gap globally could add $12 trillion in annual gross domestic product.
Katica Roy’s Pipeline Equity aims to address that problem through an HR technology platform. “We increase financial performance in companies by closing the gap,” she says. ”This is not just a social issue, but also an economic issue.”
The Denver-based company, formed last year, also is one of the 10 startups in Techstars’ new accelerator for impact companies.
